Frosty

Catie has Frosty on the brain.  And no, I don't mean the chocolaty cold dessert.  We have been watching Frosty the Snowman on loop for about a week and a half... Frosty has eclipsed Cookie Monster as our favorite cartoon character and unfortunately for Mommy, and unlike Cookie Monster (Sesame Street), Frosty never changes.  We witnessed the extent of her addiction last night, at 2:30am.

Catie woke in the middle of the night and we brought her into our bed to fall back asleep (I think she has nightmares, but that's a story for another day).  About half an hour later she wakes again, sits up and starts chanting, "Watch Frosty."  When it becomes obvious that we are trying to ignore her she upgrades to "Watch Frosty NOW!"  Fifteen minutes of one-sided discussion about how Frosty is not an option in the middle of the night and she is put back in her crib to vent her frustration alone.  Mom, ever the sucker, is drawn in by pleads of "Mama!  Binky fell down!" and goes to retrieve said binky in hopes that she'll SHUT UP!  Didn't work.  She used this as her opportunity to once again plead her case and attempt to make a break for the stairs.

Back in the crib, it only took her about five minutes to calm down and accept that there will be no Frosty after bed time.

Is there a FA meeting anyone can refer me too?  Frosty Anonymous?
